Ski / Snowboard Touring Gear List

The following list is basic.  Each skier/snowboarder will wish to add items according to personal needs and to match the weather.  However, keep it light and compact!

Snow Gear:

Shelter:

o Towel – 2 small, lightweight terry or 1 viscose towel from backpack shops

Note: For long trips pack an extra day’s supply of food, preferably dry items.  Keep a complete change of clothes waiting in the car at the starting point / trailhead.
Soap and fuels MUST NOT be packed where they could contaminate any food.
